Fancy going on a vacation with a difference? Come experience rice farming, the warmth of a Karen hilltribe homestay, and the serenity of quiet farm country in Thailand's northern most province Chiang Rai.

It's easy to take many things for grant. Simply because we have been born conveniently into these things. Rice is one of them.

Urban families know little about how rice is grown. Rice farming teaches us about life's most important virtues such as "You Reap What You Sow" and "Harvesting Comes in a Different Season from Planting". Such lessons come alive through the rice farming experience.

Tigerland Rice Farm offers a unique experiential homestay vacation with an English-speaking Karen hilltribe family in Chiang Rai, Northern Thailand. Our organic farm sits in the middle of beautiful, untouched farm country with an abundance of natural richness and the friendliest of the hill tribe community.

Located just 30 minutes from Chiang Rai Airport, our farm is the getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life. We offer full board homestay with all meals provided, plus airport pick-up. More details click here.

"It'd been truly a wonderful holiday for my family. My kids had fun in the rice paddy. We made a lasting friendship with the hospitable Watasittikul family. The home-cooked food was great and we especially cherish the magic of simple living."
- Michelle Chen

"The Watasittikul family's love for Nature really inspires us. In addition to rice planting, we also enjoyed forest walk, planting seedings, making cups, chopsticks, containers right out of bamboo, night out to catch frogs and eels in the paddies... very interesting experiences for us." - Mei Lan & Vincent
